Exploring Europe’s Past, Understanding Today’s Cultures

European Culture is a Bachelor’s program taught in English, offering an interdisciplinary perspective on Europe’s cultural heritage. It combines history, cultural studies, archaeology, art history, social psychology, pedagogy and related fields. Thanks to a flexible curriculum (few compulsory courses and many electives), students can design their own study path and explore the cultural diversity of the continent.

The program focuses on the analysis of social phenomena and intercultural communication, value transfer mechanisms, and the role of symbols in everyday life, politics and culture. Students gain the ability to interpret cultural codes, understand the social consequences of cultural phenomena—from the economy and social movements to political systems—and apply this knowledge in practice.

Graduates are prepared for careers requiring intercultural mediation, including positions in HR and PR departments of multinational companies, public administration, cultural institutions, tourism, media and journalism. The program is open to students from both Europe and beyond, and does not require detailed academic knowledge—only openness and curiosity towards cultural and social issues.

👉 The studies are tuition-based, and the rules concerning payment of fees are regulated by the University of Wrocław.
